The 5k Zombie Run Tampa 10.26.2019
The choice is yours:
-Be a Runner (human) and run from the Zombies.
-Be a Zombie and pull the runner's flags as they run through your "Zombie Zone."
Runners wear 3 flags on a belt. Protect these flags, they’re your “life.” Zombies are staged throughout the course ready to chase you and steal your flags. Try to survive, if you can... Lose your flags, and you can still finish the course as a runner. Look for Safe Zones at mile markers 1 and 2 with water, and pick up an extra life flag! Prepare for walkers, runners, crawlers... and some surprises.
Choose to become a member of the Zombie Horde instead, and polish your human hunting skills while adorned in true flesh-eating fashion, compliments of the event's expert make-up team, followed by a visit to our Blood Splatter zone (both incl w/reg). Makeup is free of charge, though tips are appreciated!

The run starts at 9:00 AM.
We will release "mini waves" every few minutes until everyone has crossed the start line.
-Runners should arrive at 8:00 AM for check in.
Zombie shift is 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM.
-Zombies should arrive at 7:30 AM to allow time for check in, makeup application, training, and for a ride to their "Zombie Zone."
Packet Pickup will be at the run. Gates open and check-in begins at 8:00 AM.
We will be using the back entrance at 17123 Whirley Rd, Lutz, 33558. (From Dale Mabry, head West on Van Dyke about 1 mile and turn South onto Whirley Road. The park entrance is about 1/2 mile down on the left) Drive into the park until you see a large open field and pavilion on the left.
WHAT YOU GET
All participants receive a t-shirt and finisher medal.
FREE, unlimited photo downloads after the event! We will have our team of photographers roaming the race course to catch all the action. $2 surcharge, required at registration, applies. IMPORTANT: Remember your bib # and wear it visibly on your front, you will need it to search for your photos online after the run. It is up to YOU to remember your bib #, we do not keep record of it.

HUMAN OR ZOMBIE?
During the registration process you will choose to either be a human or zombie.
-Humans run the course with 3 flags.
-Zombies are placed throughout the course to pull the runners flags. Makeup is provided at no charge, though tips are appreciated.
-Blood spatter is provided for all humans and zombies alike.
Take the FUN RUN CHALLENGE?
Run both The 5k Zombie Run and The 5k Color Blast in the same day. In addition to the Zombie Run shirt & medal, you'll get a Color Blast shirt, medal, & color pack. Plus you'll earn a THIRD special FUN RUN CHALLENGE medal!
(Zombies not required!) - $20
-Can't make it to race day but still want the t-shirt & medal? Run a 5k when and where you want (no need to submit any proof, we trust you!) and after race day, we will send you an official 5k Zombie Run medal and t-shirt!

Spectators are free. Viewing areas are limited.
Coolers for Refreshments will be allowed (no glass containers, please)
Parking is $5 cash per car and covers the park entry fee.
You will run on the trails at Lake Park.
Note: this is a fun run and the course is not a certified 5K and is not officially timed. We approximate the distance based on terrain and accessibility.
For everyone's safety, strollers are not allowed.
NO REFUND POLICY
We cannot issue refunds. The cost and logistics of setting up and planning the event make refunds impossible.
We aim for the event to take place rain or shine, however please understand we are at the mercy of mother nature and county officials. If conditions deteriorate to the point of becoming an unsafe environment for our participants, or if the venue becomes inaccessible for safe event preparation, we will react accordingly. Safety will always take precedence. Cancellations due to weather or other acts of God cannot be refunded.
If you find that you are unable to use your registration, we are happy to transfer it to another person or to a future event. You must email us TWO WEEKS PRIOR to the event at email@example.com for transfers. Any requests less than two weeks prior cannot be honored.
We have pre-event and during event volunteer opportunities for individuals or groups. In addition, we are looking for makeup artists, photographers, a videographer/editor and an EMT. Please email us for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pre-event setup help will earn a free entry to the run.
During/post event help will earn a free entry to a future run.
If you'd like to earn free entry to the FUN RUN CHALLENGE, (run both the Zombie Run and Color Blast) you'll need to volunteer for TWO different pre-event shifts. Email us at email@example.com for this option.
